Jack Robert Coopey - October 2024

Jack Coopey

Jack Robert Coopey PhD, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM II, PSPO II, MBA HSG Candidate (1994) has been in Switzerland throughout his life for over 10 years. With a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Durham, and a postdoc with the EU in ethics of emerging technologies, he launched an AI ethics startup called BlackLight.ai in the Deloitte and Microsoft Startup Incubators. Then Jack joined UBS Y Think Tank leading their team in the future of finance industry, after he joined SwissRe to help build their innovation lab in all emerging technologies in the insurance industry. Since April 2023 Jack has been a Senior Consultant in Digital & Agile Transformation at adesso Schweiz AG in Life Sciences, with ITIL 4, Microsoft, AWS, Scrum Certifications. Jack has just started by part-time MBA at the University of St. Gallen 2024-2026 and he is pursuing opportunities and connections to network in broader Switzerland and the world hence joining the Switzerland Chapter of PMI.

In his spare time, Jack loves to write and compose music as well as literature, alongside sampling all the types of nature Switzerland has to offer with his fiancé, their new home and their new life together in the countryside.

David Lüthi - October 2024

David Lüthi

David has worked in various areas of information technology in his over 20 years of professional experience. First as a change and release manager, later as a project manager at banks and payment providers and a software company, where he was responsible for projects in the public sector. He also worked in various agile roles such as product owner and is now working on projects for customers.

When working on projects, he likes to find pragmatic and feasible solutions. He enjoys working with a wide variety of stakeholders whose interests need to be brought together in order to move forward. He is particularly interested in the interaction of agile and predictive approaches, especially in more traditionally shaped environments. It is also important to him to constantly learn new things and to look at topics from different perspectives.

David lives in the region of Bern and joined the PMI Swiss chapter when he applied for the PMP certification, which he obtained in August. He is excited to learn more about the chapter's activities and looks forward to meeting other members from around the world.

Athanassios Defilippou - October 2024

Athanassios Defilippou

Athanassios Defilippou is half French, half Greek and has been living in Switzerland since April 2016. He currently resides in Bern and speaks French, Greek, English and Italian. With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and IT/technology industries, Athanassios has built a robust career as a strategy project manager and business and process analyst. His expertise spans data operations, clinical data management, project leadership and business and technical consultancy. He has worked extensively with complex international matrix organizations, blending analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on communication and teamwork.

Athanassios describes himself as an accomplished project manager and problem solver, committed to quality and success. He has a proven track record of efficiently leading teams to optimal project outcomes and excels as a value-adding coach and mentor. He is currently seeking new challenges, particularly in dynamic environments involving data management, data science, data integrity, analytics, AI, consulting, and strategic roles. Athanassios holds a Master's degree in Mathematics with a major in Differential Geometry from University UPEC (1998) and an MBA in Business Management with a major in Finance from Sorbonne University (2000). He has also earned several certifications, including the PMP® credential in August 2024, Bayesian Statistics and Machine Learning. His professional journey includes roles such as Sr. Manager Clinical Data Expert at Bristol Myers Squibb, Principal Clinical Analyst Data Management at Celgene, Lead Clinical Data Analyst at IQVIA and Project Manager at Intracom IT Services.

He joined the chapter to network, learn from and exchange with other project managers.

In his private life, Athanassios enjoys skiing and therefore is a happy Swiss citizen. He likes football, running and sports in general. He also likes reading and movies and spending time and travelling with his wife.

Stéphane Gruet - October 2024

Stéphane Gruet

Stéphane is originally from France (Lyon). He moved to Switzerland with his wife and her 15-days old first daughter Agathe in March 2016 and is living in Cortaillod (Neuchatel).

In the past 19 years he worked as a Project Manager/Clinical Data Manager in clinical research, working for biotech/pharma companies, developing new drugs.

Stéphane has a Master in Bioinformatics, has a strong interest in Project management applied to clinical research. He has been part of many drug submissions and Health Authority inspections.

He recently passed his PMP to explore network opportunity and validate his project management experience.

In his private life Stéphane is a proud father of Agathe (8 yo) and Margaux (6yo) and is married to Ezilda, also working in pharma in Switzerland.

Sylvie Luiten - October 2024

Sylvie Luiten

Sylvie is Swiss-American and grew up in Washington State. She began her career in Seattle before moving to Switzerland in 2019 to pursue her MBA. She currently lives in the Gruyères region.

Over the past 12 years, she has worked as a management consultant and program manager in both the US tech and Swiss higher education sectors. All of her roles have included elements of project management and she has had the opportunity on multiple occasions to develop bespoke internal project management process infrastructures. She enjoys taking clunky processes and streamlining them to create efficiencies for all stakeholders involved. She also enjoys developing and training fellow colleagues interested in project management.

Sylvie is working towards her PMP certification and joined Switzerland's chapter as a way to expand her network and meet new project management peers.

In her spare time Sylvie enjoys cooking, exploring new food markets, hiking and swimming.
