Sara Donciglio is a Scrum Master and an Agile Project Manager with a background in software development, based near Bern, Switzerland.
Sara’s professional journey has taken her from software development to project management and, ultimately, to Scrum Master and Product Owner roles. Her technical background allows her to understand the challenges of development while also working closely with product, clients and other stakeholders.
Over the years, she has worked in different IT environments, including international and regulated contexts, supporting cross-functional and distributed teams. Her experience ranges from coordinating projects from requirements through development and release to helping Scrum teams improve their collaboration, processes and ways of working.
What particularly interests Sara about Agile is the human side of delivery. She believes that Agile is not simply about adopting a framework or running ceremonies, but about how people collaborate, communicate, deal with change and continuously improve. For her, being a Scrum Master means helping teams become more effective while creating an environment where people can openly share ideas, feedback and concerns.
After obtaining her CAPM in 2024, Sara had been considering becoming a PMI member for some time. The Women in Project Management initiative from the PMI Switzerland Chapter was what finally encouraged her to take the step. She is particularly interested in connecting with other women in the profession, exchanging experiences and learning from different career paths. She also hopes to contribute to the community and become more involved in its initiatives over time.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys travelling, anime and manga, and spending time outdoors. She is also a passionate dog lover and spends a lot of time with her miniature dachshund, Akamaru!
