Alexey is passionate about learning, innovation, and constantly seeking opportunities to expand his horizons. With a technical background in physics and a PhD in the field, he has developed a strong foundation in scientific research.

After completing his postdoctoral research at EPFL, Alexey joined Hitachi Energy as a Business R&D Experienced Professional. In this role, he leads challenging R&D projects to develop novel technologies and bring new power electronics products to market, playing a crucial role in advancing the sustainable energy sector.

In January 2025, Alexey obtained his PMP certification. As a new member of the Swiss PMI chapter, he is eager to connect with fellow project management enthusiasts to expand his network and exchange knowledge, helping each other excel in the craft of project management.

Davide has 20+ more years of experience on big electric systems, analytical instrumentations and materials, predominantly connected to superconducting technologies.

His expertise spans over technology development - from ideation to product/production processes establishment, product management & marketing, international Projects funding, people management.

After his Master’s degree in Physics, Davide got a PhD in Science and Technology of Materials.

During his professional carrier, he gained a thorough expertise in hands-on technical activities and 10+ years in management.

He currently serves as R&D Manager at Bruker Biospin in Switzerland, where he is - also - leading internally and externally funded Projects.

He was previously Director of R&D and Engineering in Columbus Superconductors (now ASG Superconductors), where his first duty was to build the Team of Engineers, Physicists and Scientists, which he - then - guided to the design, development and realization of the whole process and the relative manufacturing plant of an innovative superconducting wire.

Versatile and open minded, he likes to face and drive the most difficult challenges, with systematic, agile and inventive methods.

After earning his Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing from ETH Zurich, Philipp began his career at ABB in Switzerland. Over the past two decades, he has amassed extensive experience in international business, particularly in the utility sector. Starting as a project assistant, he transitioned through various roles, including business development and sales for smart grid communication products, before returning to project management.

Philipp successfully passed the PMP certification exam in April 2024. He is currently working as a project manager at Hitachi Energy in Switzerland, where he leads complex system projects, overseeing all phases from sales handover to project closure. Additionally, he serves as the team leader for project managers specializing in executing contracts within the utility and energy sector, working with international clients and supply chains across the EMEA region. In his role, he also supports the operating unit and PMO with its project portfolio reporting platform and participates in improvement projects for the same.

By joining the PMI Switzerland chapter, Philipp aims to expand his network and deepen his knowledge in project management and PMO.

Tamara is originally from Ticino, Switzerland, and her career has taken her across several cities—including Milan, Geneva, Edinburgh, and Utrecht. For the past seven years, she has been based in Zurich, where she currently serves as a Vendor Relationship Manager & Complex Deal Specialist at UBS. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration & Management from Bocconi University.

In her role, Tamara oversees and executes go-to-market deal strategies by structuring complex projects and building strong relationships with top-tier vendors and senior leadership in Professional Services and Outsourcing globally. This involves negotiating high-impact agreements, structuring requests for proposals, managing relationships with key vendors, and generating significant savings. Previously, she worked as a Category Manager, Supplier Risk Analyst, and Procurement Systems Analyst, where she developed category/portfolio strategies, managed costs and budgets, redesigned contract architectures, introduced third-party risk methodologies, and improved procurement systems (e.g., SAP).

Tamara's project management (and business analysis) experience spans regulatory and compliance initiatives, post-merger integrations, end-to-end process transformations, and organizational changes across both traditional and Agile environments.

She joined PMI to deepen her understanding of project management best practices, learn from experienced professionals, and connect with a community that values continuous improvement. Tamara is also currently preparing for the PMP exam, which she expects to complete by the end of this year.

Outside of work, Tamara enjoys running, hiking, pilates, horse riding, traveling, and visiting art exhibitions.
