Ruth Christine Lechler

Ruth is a passionate project management researcher - bridging PM practice and research. Her current role is research associate at University of Basel.

Ruth has been in contact with PMI and PMI Switzerland some time (she has done research with PMI global), was a speaker at the last two PMI Switzerland conferences and has been part of the PMI SCNG.

Ruth teaches project management (and certification preparations) and she researches topics on motivation to work on projects, project careers. Before that Ruth was working as a project manager in different industries.

Charles Rabier - November 2024

Charles Rabier

Charles is a project manager with 15+ years international experience - PMP certified since 2013 – He delivered large outsourcing business projects and technology transformation in the asset servicing / private banking industry.

Charles is a former PMI UK chapter member and active in the mentoring program. He is an internal project methodology trainer since 2009 and PMP trainer since 2018 - currently transitioning into a franchise partnership with PMaspire to offer the full suite of PMI certifications in Switzerland focusing on Agile methodologies (PMI-ACP & DASM) in classroom training based in Nyon. His mission is to improve the project framework and make it a fun discipline accessible and scalable.

Charles is a dad of 2 children aged under 3 which doesn’t leave him much time. Charles is also a volunteer lifeguard in Nyon since 2019 and member of the traditional rowing team.

Francesco Bisceglia - November 2024

Francesco Bisceglia

Francesco has a master’s degree in electrical engineering, a 2nd level Master Oil and Gas Management and he is PMP certified since 2019.

Francesco has worked for about 15 years as Project Manager and Program manager in 3 different businesses ( Oil&Gas, Electrical Market and Railway), managing projects in different project phases ( design, construction and installation) with matrix and projectized organizations.

Francesco had the pleasure to work with different multinational company in Eni SpA as Program Manager, in Mermec as Senior Project Manager and then in AngelStar (a joint venture between Mermec SpA and Stadler Ag) as Commercial Project Manager for the ETCS applications in Switzerland and Europe.

Francesco is working now in Hitachi Energy as Service Project Manager for the High Voltage Service BU and thanks to this new challenge in his career, Francesco relocates himself in Zurich, where he is living since January 2024.

Francesco really likes Zurich as an international and multicultural city where the diversity is a fingerprint of the city! During his free time Francesco likes doing sports in nature, running and spending time with his family.

Francesco thinks that as project managers we have the ethical responsibility to change the present in a better future, every one of us can impact with his own sphere of competence on the present, trying to make the difference for the future.

Joining the Swiss chapter is a great opportunity for Francesco to explore a new country through the competences and the experience coming from a professional network like a PMI chapter.

Pavithra Iyer - October 2024

Pavithra Iyer

Pavithra has studied biology and specialised in the subject of cell and gene therapy. She has worked at several academic institutions and a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company in Switzerland. Her strength has been co-ordinating and managing projects for the past couple of years and Pavithra became a part of PMI to equip herself with more skills on this front. Pavithra is currently looking for a new role that would help her to best utilise my strengths of scientific expertise, project management and working in dynamic multi-cultural environments. In her free time, Pavithra likes to cook, study yoga, music and spirituality, hike in the mountains, read books.

Jack Robert Coopey - October 2024

Jack Coopey

Jack Robert Coopey PhD, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM II, PSPO II, MBA HSG Candidate (1994) has been in Switzerland throughout his life for over 10 years. With a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Durham, and a postdoc with the EU in ethics of emerging technologies, he launched an AI ethics startup called BlackLight.ai in the Deloitte and Microsoft Startup Incubators. Then Jack joined UBS Y Think Tank leading their team in the future of finance industry, after he joined SwissRe to help build their innovation lab in all emerging technologies in the insurance industry. Since April 2023 Jack has been a Senior Consultant in Digital & Agile Transformation at adesso Schweiz AG in Life Sciences, with ITIL 4, Microsoft, AWS, Scrum Certifications. Jack has just started by part-time MBA at the University of St. Gallen 2024-2026 and he is pursuing opportunities and connections to network in broader Switzerland and the world hence joining the Switzerland Chapter of PMI.

In his spare time, Jack loves to write and compose music as well as literature, alongside sampling all the types of nature Switzerland has to offer with his fiancé, their new home and their new life together in the countryside.
