Maja Mandic

Originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maja has a master´s degree in Macro Financial Management. She has worked within NGOs and the governmental sector, with roles including social innovation coach and macroeconomist analyst. Maja is currently pursuing another master’s degree in international Affairs and Governance at the University of St.Gallen, to deepen her knowledge of foreign policy.

Still, she has also worked with teams to develop viable social businesses, which required her to learn and deploy lean methodology principles, business canvas, and human-centered approach tools in project settings.

Maja loves the logic of project management, which is a valuable skill in any sector and job. Joining the Swiss PMI is advantageous for Maja for two reasons. First, it provides an opportunity to meet diverse people and engage in conversations, which she enjoys. Second, it offers a chance to learn and prepare for certifications.

Maja’s love for travel is a significant part of who she is, and she finds inspiration in the diverse cultures and landscapes she encounters. Andalusia and Singapore are among her favourite places, but she always finds herself drawn back to the beauty of Croatia. When Maja is not on the road, she indulges in her love for literature, particularly poetry and American literature from the 1950s.
