Barikupar Oflyn Toi

Barikupar moved to Switzerland in December 2018, and joined the Swiss Chapter to connect, network and learn more about project management from Senior Professionals. He is currently a volunteer as Mentee for PMI Mentoring Program and am quite satisfied as to how much he learns from his mentor. Barikupar is also certified as a CAPM since 2017.

Barikupar had worked with Sanofi for a year. After which he decided to take a time-out to immerse himself in a different culture while preparing his moving to another country and feel he has not only gained a new perspective but also learned some valuable life lessons.
Apart from his professional life, Barikupar has a wide range of interests like cooking, singing, arts, traveling, gardening and football where he recently got the opportunity to be a team member of a local football club.

Joachim Dehais

Joachim started in academia, in the land of mathematics and computer, where rules rule but chaos is omnipresent. He began studying good management practices at the end of his PhD, all to better his team and their success. In doing so though, he found the marvel that these practices are. Since the end of the PhD, he has gone onto other projects meeting academia and industry.

Through Switzerland and Italy, he’s taken part in medical technology development, and fashion engineering. In the process, he passed both CAPM and PMP exams whilst promoting good practices to his fellows and developing them in his own life.

Joachim currently works at the University Hospital Bern, on a project to bring reliable diet assessment tools to the market. Already finding good uses to all three sides of the talent triangle, he hopes they will contribute in the future as well or better as they have so far.

Akmal Faruqui

Akmal is originally from England and living in Switzerland since 1987. He is a Cybersecurity specialist working as a project manager in IBM Switzerland. He recently obtained ACP certification. Since his first real experience in Agile in 2017, he is a fan of the methodology ever since and this motivated him to go for the PMI- ACP. Akmal is a member of the Swiss Chapter since 2005 and earned his PMP certification in 2006. He also contributed to the chapter as a volunteer for the PM@CH newsletter between 2014 and 2015.

He was a more frequent attendee in the chapter events but nowadays his family and hobbies like golf, astronomy, hiking, Go and watching rugby don’t leave him with much spare time.

André Burri

André have just obtained his PMP certification June 2019. His motivation for the PMP certification is to learn some management skills after getting a lot of practical experience in his previous role in Swissquote Bank as Head of Mobile where he also led some projects in the digital and marketing fields.

At the moment André is looking for new opportunities in project management and thinking to create a start-up in the ecological field mainly focused on zero waste deliveries.

Xiaoming Wang

Xiaoming has 19 years’ experience in various areas, IT, Supply Chain and Procurement Controlling, Procurement performance and process management and Logistics supply chain network optimization. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master degree in Business Management.

He is originally from China, and he started his career there in 2000. He spend about 9 years in China, 6 years in Germany and moved to Switzerland in 2014 to start his role in the Global Headquarter of LafargeHolcim, a leading multinational building material company. He speaks English, and mandarin fluently. Besides, He also speaks intermediate level German.

Xiaoming studied for the PMP and passed in December 2018 to strengthen his project management skills and validate his experience. He joined to our Chapter with the desire to be exposed to the local community of very experienced project managers and gain opportunities for networking, personal development, and exchange know-how.

Personally, Xiaoming enjoys Switzerland very much with his family and he likes to enjoy his time travelling around in Switzerland. He is looking forward to meeting local chapter members.

Jean Eric Ancel

Jean-Eric is an advanced expert for Project/Program/Portfolio and PMO management with PfMP, PMP and PBA certifications. He is currently working as a consultant in Project and Program / Portfolio Management for Pharmaceutical / Chemical Development at ALTRAN Switzerland. Jean-Eric is also a certified Expert at the Association of International PMO with over 20 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical / Chemical development.

His interests are centred around PMO organization and evolution, Resource and Capacity management, Portfolio and Project collaborative organizations.

Agustin Diaz Salvadores

Agustin is a quality and project management professional born in Barcelona 33 years ago. Now, Agustin works as Quality Manager ACH for ThyssenKrupp elevator.
Agustin has been living and working in Switzerland for 6 years now and he loves the country. In his free time, he loves the mountains, snowboarding and surfing.

Luis Aragon

Luis is an Industrial Engineer with Graduate Degrees in Mineral and Petroleum Economics. He has worked as a Management Consultant throughout Latin America, as well as Supply Chain Management for the Oil & Gas industry across the US (Texas and Washington DC).

Based in Geneva, today Luis works as an independent Risk Consultant for the extractive and commodities industries, specializing in data analytics and Public-Private-Partnerships. His hobbies include learning Italian and Geographic Info Systems. He joined PMI-Switzerland as a volunteer during 2018 and has recently became a PMP.

Daniele Stefanini

Daniele is an Engineer with 15 years of professional experience in several branches of the Energy sector.He graduated in Italy and had started his career in Germany where he worked and lived for several years.

Daniele currently working in Switzerland as a Product Leader and Project Manager for a Company based in Geneva.

Leo Dijkhuizen

Originally from the Netherlands Leo moved to the Basel area in June 2017. Leo is as a seasoned Program- and Project Manager with more than 25 years Program-/Project Management and Consultancy experience in larger and complex business projects from inception to launch. With direct experience in global SAP ERP projects, projects under CSV, Post Merger business and IT- integration projects.

Leo has broad experience in Pharma, Life Sciences and Chemicals industry and managing PMO’s and he is appreciated for turning around projects and make them successful. Leo enjoys helping and coaching other project managers and business managers involvement in projects.

Leo’s delivered many global projects all over the world and lived in Holland, US, Switzerland and now just across the border in Germany.

In his free time, Leo likes to spend time with his family and be outdoors enjoying mountain biking, running and hiking. Leo is interested in new technologies and learning himself Python programming language. Just for fun!
