Gustavo Martin - April 2021

Gustavo Martin

Gustavo has been living in Basel since 2013. He is originally from Spain but quite settled down in Switzerland, with his love for the country. He is married and has two kids 8 and 1 year old.

Gustavo’s background is in Chemical Engineering, but his professional career has guided him to the Automation world and IT Manufacturing systems.

In Roche, Gustavo is the DP MES and Shop floor warehouse solutions IT Product Manager, where he is taking care of the software strategy being sure that the system covers the business requirements and is ready for the company digital transformation challenges. At the moment his team is in the middle of a big program replacing the MES Systems in Roche. Gustavo is also playing the role of Functional Lead in this program.

He joined the PMI Switzerland chapter for different reasons, from staying in contact with other professionals, to networking, attending conferences and perhaps being a volunteer. In the past , Gustavo get in contact with the chapter
to make some publication, which is something he is still interested in, but finding the difficulty to balance the workload and his family.

Gustavo loves all kinds of sport activities and in particular Triathlon. He likes to do competitions in the amateur level but he completed quite a lot of long distance triathlons and many marathons. He also loves reading, traveling with my family and his Real Madrid C.F (football)

Daniel Valadares - April 2021

Daniel Valadares

Daniel is a Mechanical Engineer by training, specialized in Materials, Eco-Conception and Industrial Management, and with a solid background in Project Management, Mechanical Conception/Design and Field Operations.

He is fluent in French, English and Portuguese and with more than 10 years of experience in complex roles of responsibility, requiring capacities of coordination, design, problem solving and project management in the e-Mobility and Industrial Management field at Portugal and Switzerland.

Daniel’s big accomplishments are the architecture design, conception, execution and commissioning of the full electric bus with fast charge system - TOSA Project at Geneva Line 23.

Daniel is preparing is PMP Certification (new examen 2021) and he’s looking for new challenges as Technical Project Manager. He expects to learn and exchange in interesting discussions with his peers and to engage with other project managers across Switzerland.

Outside work he is a passionate in moto trips, snowboarder, traveling and spends time with his family.

Kenan Catic - April 2021

Kenan Catic

Kenan holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B. Sc. HES-SO in Electrical Engineering, major in Electric Power). I obtained my PMP certification on the 28 of December 2020 (and he feels proud about this particular achievement)
Kenan has 10+ years of experience in the field of energy distribution and utilities (multi-utilities). His area of focus is the Swiss Energy Market, with a specialization in the metering field (Smart Metering, Meter-to-Cash chain). His actual role is Head of Metering by Viteos SA (Neuchâtel). Kenan speaks (in order of competency) Italian, French, English and German. He grew up in the “Canton Grigioni” and then after his military service, went to Fribourg for his studies.

Kenan sees his PMP certification as a first step in affirming his will to professionalize himself in the field of project management. He is always searching to learn new approaches, methods and philosophies related to business, management, productivity and – dulcis in fundo – projects. In this context, the PMP certification was a must from his point of view. He hopes that the Swiss Chapter will give him the opportunity to meet new people and acquire new knowledge.

Kenan loves to run and he practice running on a daily basis. He also loves to read and philosophize himself from time to time.

Johanna Pasilkar - April 2021

Johanna Pasilkar

Johanna Pasilkar is Project Management professional with knowledge of ICT, HR, Chemical, Defence and Telecommunications sectors. She has successfully delivered projects both in private and public sectors including international organizations, such as European Union institutions in Brussels. Johanna first became acquainted with PMI during her Master of Science studies in Boston University Metropolitan College and has recently received her PMP certification. Her early career started with telecommunications and defence. Being one of the first batch of women receiving military leadership training, she has served in several Finnish Defense Forces positions including peacekeeping mission to Kosovo. From those times she gained resilience and team-leading skills in hardship conditions, which are well suited for requirements of current project management world.

Johanna joined the Swiss Chapter for networking in multilingual setting and to get fresh perspectives and ideas from fascinating Chapter events. Her working languages are English, French, Swedish and Finnish. She is currently learning German and Hindi.

As a hobby, she plays tennis or Padel, depending on the prevailing snow conditions. She also learns folkloric and traditional world dances.

Johanna is currently Project Manager of GDPR MyData project based in Helsinki, Finland and guest speaker of MyData topics by German Ministry of Interior seminar and panelist of
the Next Generation Internet initiative by the Digital Single Market of the European Commission.

She is interested in leads and opportunities in Switzerland in the future.

Tiago Oliveira - April 2021

Tiago Oliveira

Tiago holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, MBAs in Project Management and Business Management. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical industry R&D environment being 11 years in leading positions. Tiago is a passionate corporate entrepreneur, committed to taking the areas of his responsibility into a higher maturity level through strategic plans elaboration, execution and management always pursuing to bring value to the business and stakeholders. He holds PSM I (scrum.org) and PMP (PMI) credentials.

Tiago has worked in 2 of the biggest and more profitable pharmaceutical industries in Brazil, EMS S/A and Aché Laboratories, being in the last one in the role of R&D Manager responsible for API technical documentation, Preformulation and Packaging Development. Within these 3 areas Tiago managed a multidisciplinary team of more than 30 analysts and researchers in more than 300 projects of new product development and post approval endeavors.

Last but no least, Tiago has led 2 major projects: the startup of Aché Laboratories´ Preformulation Lab and the Packaging Development department turnaround.

Both projects covered strategic and tactical end-to-end including:

  • cultural changes
  • team building
  • technical and management process reviews
  • laboratories construction.

Tiago is looking forward to building a fruitful network environment and to dive into a new multicultural experience in project management, improving skills mainly in the Agile world.

Dr. Diederik Paul Moeys - April 2021

Diederik Paul Moeys

Dr. Diederik Paul Moeys is a senior research engineer at Sony Research center Zurich, where he leads and contributes to projects on silicon retinas, neuromorphic hardware, and artificial intelligence. Before, he was a chip designer for high-speed data converter at Miromico AG.

He received his PhD from ETH Zurich, jointly for electronic engineering and neuroscience. He had previously received the MEng degree in electronic engineering from University College London, UK in 2013, together with the Goldsmid Faculty Medal, the IET Prize, and the IET Postgraduate Scholarship.

He just passed his PMP exam in December and looks forward to connecting with members.

Ayham Zaza - March 2021

Ayham Zaza

An enthusiastic scientist and an inquisitive engineer with special experience in handling multi-disciplinary projects! Passionate about creating ideas and executing them. Ready to tailor my rare cocktail of knowledge to grow as a professional and to innovate.

Ayham is currently joining a leading biotech company as a Senior Machine Learning/Image Processing Engineer. Before that, he was a Postdoc researcher and an active member of the German Liver Systems Medicine Network (LiSyM) where he deployed his skills and knowledge in (Artificial Intelligence, Medical Image Analysis and High-Performance Computing) in contributing to making future personalized medications and studying various liver diseases.
In addition to (PMP)®, Ayham obtained many certificates with more than 30+ practical projects in: Self-Driving Cars, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Biology and Programming.

While working towards obtaining his Ph.D. in Computer Science, he simulated a high-Performance CUDA based parallel 3D black-water oil reservoir model that mimics fluid flow and mass transfer in porous media. He also holds an M.Sc. degree in Medical Physics and a BSc. in Computer Engineering.

In his free time, Ayham gets lost in a good book. He enjoys discussing deep & challenging topics. He has interests in Art & calligraphy; likes playing chess and exploring distant lands.

Xinyu Yan - March 2021

Xinyu Yan

Xinyu Yan is a member of the PMI Swiss Chapter, and she recently gained her PMP certification in Switzerland. Xinyu works in the development sector with over three years of experience in sustainable development, youth employment and social inclusion. Xinyu is passionate about contributing to more inclusive and sustainable development through partnerships and social innovation.

Currently, Xinyu is a Technical Officer at the International Labour Organization, leading and supporting projects on catalyzing partnerships and knowledge management in youth employment. Her specialized areas including IT project management, stakeholder engagement and coordination in the context of development cooperation. Xinyu has experience in working with the private sector, United Nations organizations, the non-for-profit sector and governments. Her career goal is to bring in more innovation to the work of the organization to improve efficiency and agility of the technical cooperation.

Xinyu is grateful for being a member of the Swiss chapter, for the opportunity to be part of the professional community, to gain cross-cutting knowledge in project management and to learn from experts in the field.

Living in Geneva, Xinyu enjoys hiking, doing yoga and meeting people from various cultures and backgrounds. She is also keen on volunteering and giving back to the community.

Guillaume Saouli - March 2021

Guillaume Saouli

Guillaume Saouli, a freshly re-certified PMP, is a veteran member of PMI (since 2001) , he passed his PMP initially in 2007. He is also a certified MSP practitioner, and a certified agilist (scrum master, product owner, leader, as well as in scaled/nexus implementations). He studied CS Engineering at EPFL and complemented his technical acumen by attending BSL's MBA program in Global Management.
Guillaume's professional career path has led him very early on to assume project leadership positions, combining innovation, cybersecurity and digital transformation. He has worked both nationally and internationally holding leadership positions, he was program director/manager for organizations such as Credit Suisse/HCL, ING, BNP-Fortis, Etat de Genève. BCGe, HSBC, Deutsche Telekom, and Blu Telecom, to name a few.

Over the past 3 decades, Guillaume also ventured in the realm of innovative startups, fintech, wearable tech, ISP, cybersecurity. His keen interest for project management and innovation was recognized in 2010 with the innovation price of PMI Switzerland/Société Suisse de Management de Projet (SMP). He is currently transitioning to a role of Senior Managing Partner of a Cybersecurity Practice.
He was an active volunteer within PMI as of 2006. First as a director within the PMI Risk SIG, then as core member of the Virtual Communities Advisory Group from 2007 until 2011. In the past, he has also organized on a volunteer basis PMP preparation study groups both in Switzerland, as well as in Belgium.

He is looking forward to engaging once again with the PM community of Switzerland and globally.

Shalini Krishnan - February 2021

Shalini Krishnan

Shalini has been working in international sport management for the past 6 years, in Canada, Namibia and Switzerland. She holds an International Master's in the Management, Law and Humanities of Sport (FIFA Master) and is actively looking for a new role. She joined the Swiss Chapter to meet more people in Switzerland with similar interests

Shalini decided to complete the PMP certification in 2020 to strengthen her knowledge of the specificities of project management. She moved to Switzerland in 2017 and is enjoying the beautiful scenery and outdoor adventures available throughout the country. Shalini is a keen football player and tap dancer
