Teresa Avellino - November 2021

Teresa Avellino

Teresa has 18+ years of international Project Management experience in the non-profit, small business and corporate world, and recently finished her Masters in Business Administration.

As a Third Culture Kid (TCK) with an American mother and Italian father but born in Brazil and raised in Asia and Central/Eastern Europe, she has a passion for languages (speaks English, Italian, Spanish, some Romanian, and is improving her German), relishes learning about new cultures, and has managed projects in North and Central America, as well as Europe and Africa. 

She is currently the Global Project Manager in the financial industry but was more recently involved in setting up the PMO for the Group Communications Head Office of one of the largest insurance companies worldwide. 

She loves traveling, Crossfit, nature, cooking, and sports. 

She joined the Swiss PMI chapter to network, exchange know-how, and collaborate. – And perhaps connect with future project opportunities.

Martin Härri - November 2021

Martin Härri 100x100 NEW

Martin has over 30 years of experience in project management in consulting and in the financial services industry and has led more than a dozen project offices. In the last 3 years he is working for SIX, where he manages the Project Office of two large strategic projects.

He is a founding member of the PMI Switzerland Chapter, and has served in various volunteer roles, including Board Member and Chapter President. Martin recently added the Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) to his list of PMI certifications, which already contained the Project Management Professional (PMP), the PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and the PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP).

His current volunteer roles are mainly being a project manager for the 10th PMI Switzerland Conference, and managing the PMI Swiss Corporate Networking Group.

Brendan Hanley - October 2021

Brendan Hanley

Brendan is passionate about change and it`s positive impact on businesses and people. He is Head of PMO for a Canadian based IT company and services clients all around the world.

He is an Australian citizen living and working in Switzerland. He is fluent in English and German (some Swiss German also).

Over the past 15 years, he has enjoyed working in the banking industry where he helped large institutions with change within their businesses. After leading large scale project teams for a global custodial bank, he moved to the "other side" and is now supplying clients with world class software solutions.

His motivation to join the PMI Switzerland chapter was to stay engaged in market trends within project management and not only to learn from others but also share insights into his own success story.

When not working overtime or in lock down, he enjoys golf, cooking and travelling.

Jonathan Brünggel - October 2021

Jonathan Brünggel

Jonathan has roughly ten years experience in developing and managing projects, some in complex environments. He has worked with different organizations including the United Nations, government organizations and NGOs in Switzerland, East Africa and Southeast Asia.

Jonathan has a degree in International Law and recently deepened his knowledge in the field of sustainability and environment with a Certificate of Advanced Studies.

With the intention to focus on his project management skills and transition to new areas of work, Jonathan is looking for networking opportunities and eventually for new job opportunities.

Jonathan loves to be out in nature and enjoys outdoor activities from scuba diving, hiking to skiing.

Ethel Mendocilla Sato - October 2021

Ethel Mendocilla Sato

Ethel has a background in Life Sciences with a doctoral degree in Biology. In 2014, she joined the unit of Plant Developmental Genetics at the University of Zurich as a postdoctoral fellow.
Thanks to cross-sectional courses offered by a Swiss national qualification programme, Ethel reinforced her knowledge in Project Management. During that period, she joined a start-up and worked as a project and product manager. She was involved in product development, stakeholder management and procurement.

Since June 2021, Ethel holds the PMP credential. She is currently working on a personal project and looking for new opportunities to grow as a Project Manager. She joined the PMI Swiss Chapter to expand her professional network, collaborate and keep up to date with the latest Project Management trends.

Apart from her passion for books, Ethel enjoys very much practicing yoga and fitness training.
