Gaurav is a Software Architect with more than 10 years of experience in a wide area of technology that include Digitalization, Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Cloud Computing, Distributed System, Data Storage, Embedded System, Open-Source Technology, Project Management, Managing different projects.

Gaurav is Advocating the Agile Principle in team and doing Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Communication Management, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management for various Complex IT Projects.

He gained holistic experience of various technologies with Project Management and project execution in India, Europe, USA with a diverse group of people. He loves traveling, music, new technology, and working with diverse groups of people.

He is a team player with strong leadership and good communication skills, maintains an optimistic attitude and a willingness to take responsibility and do more than expected.

As a new member of the PMI Swiss Chapter, he looks forward to gaining new experience and expanding his professional network through webinars and events.

During his free time, he likes playing music, walking, cooking, and watching documentaries.

Gaurav currently is member of PMI Germany Chapter and working as a volunteer in PMI GC IT project. He joined the PMI Swiss Chapter to participate in their activities, meet professionals, work with diverse groups of people and contribute to the Chapter’s work.

Can Izgi - May 2022

Can Izgi

Can Izgi is an instructor in the company STS (Sauter Training & Simulation), which is located in Lausanne.

He has been teaching Project Management courses (including Agile approach) since 2005. Before starting his teaching career, he was a Project Manager in Turkcell, which is a telecommunication and technology services provider. The main contractor of the company was Ericsson.

He holds an Authorized Training Partner Instructor certificate issued by PMI®. In addition, he holds the following certificates: Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® and Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I).

He is one of the draft reviewers of the Software Extension to the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition. In addition, he is one of the reviewers of the drafts for the fifth, sixth and seventh editions of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide).

He has a BS degree and an MS degree both in Electrical Engineering. He enjoys playing the flute, origami and doing amateur performing arts.

Luca Casciola - May 2022

Luca Casciola

Luca is an aerospace engineer coordinating research projects in the civil aviation industry across Europe, with a focus on integrating state of art IT technologies into existing aviation standards.
He is planning to obtain CAPM certificate by end 2022 and thanks to that he is planning to expand its portfolio of research projects.

He has joined the PMI Swiss Chapter to connect with other people driving the change in Switzerland, and to create business opportunities for the community and for local industry.

In his free time Luca loves playing with RC models and he fosters educational programmes for kids in the Zurich area.

Elisabet Amanatidou - May 2022

Elisabet Amanatidou

Elisabet holds a MSc in Business and Finance and moved to Zurich in 2008 where she joined ABB. During this time she had taken the responsibility as Project Management where she was leading projects of automating some of the processes in the internal reporting, and decided that this was a career path she wanted to follow.

Elisabet is Swedish with Greek origin and has a wide international experience and solid cultural awareness, having lived in different countries as China and Egypt.

In her free time, she regularly practicing meditation. She also enjoys dancing tango, snowboarding, kitesurfing, and spending quality time with friends.

She joined the PMI local chapter to connect with other local PM as well as to exchange valuable knowledge.

Ivan Szabo - November 2020

Ivan Szabo

Ivan is a senior executive with a proven track record in delivering large cross-functional programs within the highly regulated aviation industry.
He works as a senior director with SWISS International Air Lines and set up and leads the SWISS Future Intercont Experience Program. He provides leadership, coordination, and management for the new cross-divisional program organization consisting of multiple projects and sub-projects with around 200 members to implement the "New Premium" cabin interiors. The first phase of the program includes the introduction of Premium Economy seats on the Boeing 777-300ER and A340-300 fleets. Key challenges include integrating the timeline of the technical retrofit with the entry into service of the seat class – ensuring not only that all IT, revenue management, sales and marketing activities are completed and ready when the retrofit aircraft are delivered, but also that the flight & ground operations departments introduce the required processes to operate the aircraft in the new configuration. In a previous line management role, he was responsible for setting up and leading a new department to harmonize pilot training standards across Lufthansa Group airlines.
As the program manager for the Boeing 777-300ER introduction, he set up, directed and aligned the program organization to ensure the on-time delivery and seamless integration of the Boeing 777-300ER into the SWISS fleet. SWISS B777 first aircraft manufacturing video
Ivan originally studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University in Darmstadt, which he supplemented with an Executive MBA from Ashridge in Berkhamsted, UK. This combination of a technical background with the general management knowledge has enabled him to bridge the communications gap between different stakeholders across multiple functions. He achieved his PMP certification in July 2020.

On a personal note, Ivan’s family originally comes from Hungary. They fled Hungary during the 1956 revolution. Ivan was born in Belgium, grew up in the United States and Colombia. He graduated high school went to university in Germany and has been living in Switzerland since 2013. He is fluent in English, German and Hungarian with a working knowledge of Spanish and basic French.
