Jean-Luc Ingold recently started as a project manager and product owner in the utilities industry. Before that, he worked as a software engineer in an agile environment, developing software for particle characterization based on light-scattering technologies.
Jean-Luc is passionate about full-stack software development and has started its career developing software using a waterfall methodology in the field of CNC machines and home automation.
Since 2015, Jean-Luc has been applying the principles, patterns, and practices of software engineering to develop, test, release, maintain, and refactor software. He has significant experience in .NET, object-oriented programming, design patterns, relational databases, and software development methodologies. Holding a Ph.D. in Management Science, Jean-Luc has a strong interest in both theory and real-world applications, techniques, and hands-on approaches that make theoretical knowledge useful in professional environments.
Jean-Luc joined the PMI Swiss chapter to expand his network, learn from seasoned project managers, and share his experience with like-minded professionals. Jean-Luc is looking forward to acquiring more practical experience in project management and is working toward obtaining the PMP certification within the next three years.
In his spare time, Jean-Luc loves to spend quality time with his wife and two kids, and to learn more about software engineering and new technologies.
