Program Managers Roundtable

We are bringing together five Program Management leaders from different sectors, with different career trajectories and different experiences.

What they have in common is the discipline of program management and the fact that they are joining us in Geneva to share insights on a profession that is often discussed less than project management.

What other commonalities we uncover, and what other differences you discover, is what this session is all about.

We'll explore the following areas:

  • The difference between project and program management in practice
  • The progression from project to program leadership
  • The real-world value of the PgMP, and other credentials, including their limitations as well as their benefits
  • Skills required of Program Managers (including stakeholder management and leadership)
  • Practitioner perspectives from the field
  • Pitfalls to avoid

If you are a practising Program Manager looking to connect with peers, a senior Project Manager weighing up the move into program leadership, or simply feel this part of the profession has been under-represented in recent years and want to know more, then join us.

We'll have a facilitated discussion, an audience Q&A, and a networking apéro to explore program management in practice.

We'd like you to leave with:

  • Insights from our peer-led, candid discussion with Program Managers
  • Clear inspiration for senior Project Managers considering the next step
  • A showcase of strong Program Management leadership from across our region and different sectors
  • Answers to the questions that matter most to you on this theme

Please note that this is an interactive discussion, and the conversation will naturally follow the interests of the audience. Some themes may therefore receive more attention than others. Come to listen, understand, ask questions, and share your perspective.
