Inside the AI Hub at Campus Biotech: Exploring AI in Highly Regulated Environments

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly moving from experimentation toward real-world applications. In sectors such as healthcare and public services, adopting AI involves more than technology—it raises important questions around governance, regulation, ethics, and data sharing.

Join us at the AI Hub (Pôle IA) Geneva, located within Campus Biotech, for a session exploring how organizations are beginning to approach AI in environments where safety, transparency, and accountability are essential.

The event will highlight the early development of one of Europe’s newest collaborative ecosystems for applied AI. Created through a partnership between Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering, and the Canton of Geneva, the hub brings together clinicians, researchers, and AI specialists to collaborate around data, digital innovation, and emerging AI opportunities in healthcare. Over the past year, the hub has focused on building collaborative infrastructure and partnerships, and is now starting to explore how AI approaches and data sharing could evolve within this ecosystem.

Hosting the event within the hub gives participants a chance to experience first-hand the environment where clinical expertise, research, and digital innovation intersect, and to learn about the opportunities and challenges of exploring AI in a highly regulated context.

Why Attend
Participants will gain insight into the early thinking, structures, and collaborative approaches that may shape future AI initiatives in environments where decisions directly affect human well-being. During the session, they will discover:
