PMI Switzerland Elections

"Becoming an elected Chapter Officer of PMI Switzerland is more than just a volunteer position—it's an opportunity to grow, lead, and make a difference."

Elections are vital, as PMI Switzerland is governed by Chapter Officers who are elected by the Chapter members as defined in the Chapter Bylaws.

These individuals devote their time and energy to driving our Chapter's activities, as well as contributing to the professional development of volunteers and members.

How to Apply?

Each year, there are usually several open positions for the Board, the Elections Committee, as well as the Financial Auditors Committee.

Please refer to the Department Missions for information about their roles and responsibilities. Chapter Officers are elected for a two-year term, and roles in the Board will be defined during the onboarding process.

Submitting your application:

Review our Elections Policy.
Complete the Nominations Template (will be published when call for candidates opens).
Prepare a Candidate Presentation (for publication on the PMI Switzerland website and the eBallot website).
Provide two written references (recommendations required from both a current or former PMI Switzerland Board member and a volunteer).
Submit your application (complete and inclusive of all supporting documents).

Earn PDUs for Your Certification

Chapter Officers earn PDUs to maintain PMI certifications, benefiting their own professional growth.

What Are The Eligibility Criteria?

To be eligible as a Chapter Officer, you must:

be a member in good standing (i.e. have a valid membership) of PMI and PMI Switzerland,
have served as a PMI Switzerland volunteer for at least six months prior to applying,
agree to the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct,
provide two written references:
- one from a colleague within PMI Switzerland,
- the other must be from a current or former PMI Switzerland board member.

Please be informed that the online board meetings take place on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. About every 3 months there is an full-day onsite board meeting in alternating Swiss cities, taking place on a Saturday. You must be available to attend these meetings.

Also, you will be required to take some mandatory online e-elearnings from PMI to prepare you for your role.
