Elections are vital, as PMI Switzerland is governed by Chapter Officers who are elected by the Chapter members as defined in the Chapter Bylaws.

These individuals devote their time and energy to driving our Chapter's activities, as well as contributing to the professional development of volunteers and members.

Find below the elections statement of each candidate. All members of PMI Switzerland will receive an E-mail with a link to the election system on 15 November 2025 which will contain more information, such as project management experience, volunteering experience and key priorities for candidature.

My vision is to continue shaping PMI Switzerland as a hub for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and professional growth -helping project managers not only deliver business results but also drive positive change in society.

Mariia Fufaieva, PRINCE2® FoundationPosition applied for: Board Member

I am committed to developing the PMI Swiss Chapter into a vibrant hub where both skilled professionals and newcomers feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute. I want to increase volunteer engagement, make opportunities more visible, and create space for members to share their ideas. By continuing social impact projects and embracing diverse perspectives, we can make the Chapter stronger and more dynamic for everyone.

Valérie Pierre, PMP®Position applied for: Board Member

I am committed to creating a meaningful impact for chapter members and volunteers by enhancing engagement, retention, and community growth. Through high-value events and learning opportunities, I will strengthen connections and support professional development across PMI Switzerland and the Project Management community. Drawing on my background in event management and product development, I plan to introduce innovative formats, expand partnerships, and foster an inclusive environment.

I am committed to making PMI Switzerland a community where project professionals are developing their profession, are empowered, and inspired. My focus over the last 4 years has been on strengthening member value, volunteer experience, championing professional partnerships for Social Impact & Youth Initiatives, Women in Project Management and positioning our Chapter as a benchmark of excellence worldwide

Konstantinos Matziounis, PMP®Position applied for: Board Member

Over the past year, we successfully introduced new financial processes, transitioned to in-house accounting, and prepared for the Single Membership phase. In the year ahead, my focus will be on ensuring the correct implementation of these changes, strengthening financial practices, and securing the Chapter’s long-term, sustainable operation.

I am applying for the Elections Committee to support fair and transparent processes that strengthen PMI Switzerland. With experience in project management and communications, I hope to contribute to smooth and collaborative elections.

Paul Selwold, PMP®Position applied for: Nomination Committee

I am looking to join the Election Committee to discover a new role in the chapter which is new to me. As President, I have come to know very well the employees of PMI who will support us. Additionally, I have volunteered with Velan Thangavelu in the past and would enjoy doing so again.

Financial Auditing Committee

Laurent Marmeys, PMP®Position applied for: Financial Auditing Committee

Together with the other members of the Financial Audit team, ensure that the existing rules and processes are correctly followed, the accounts are prepared according to the Swiss accounting standards and that the financial statements reflect the financial situation of the Chapter. For doing that, use my financial and accounting experience gathered over the years.

Earn PDUs for Your Certification

Chapter Officers earn PDUs to maintain PMI certifications, benefiting their own professional growth.

What Are The Eligibility Criteria?

To be eligible as a Chapter Officer, you must:

be a member in good standing (i.e. have a valid membership) of PMI and PMI Switzerland,
have served as a PMI Switzerland volunteer for at least six months prior to applying,
agree to the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct,
provide two written references:
- one from a colleague within PMI Switzerland,
- the other must be from a current or former PMI Switzerland board member.

Please be informed that the online board meetings take place on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. About every 3 months there is an full-day onsite board meeting in alternating Swiss cities, taking place on a Saturday. You must be available to attend these meetings.

Also, you will be required to take some mandatory online e-elearnings from PMI to prepare you for your role.
