Last month, the PMI Switzerland Chapter was pleased to welcome 32 new members, bringing the active membership to 1367 as of 30 September! Of these new members, Jacek Czernuszenko and Robert Molini provided more information introducing themselves, below.
We congratulate our 12 chapter members who obtained their PMP/CAPM certification in September 2012 (by certification date):
Nicolas Amico, Jean-Noël Chabaud, Sebastian Dutkowski, Fabien Fetter, Jimmy Golliard, Zobias Messmer, Olivier Paratte, Pascal Py, Luc Tritten, Irina Tseytlina, Julien Visinand, Nicolas Tettamanti
We are pleased to present to you below more information below and hope to meet them in person soon.
Sebastian Dutkowski is a Project Manager in the Power Generation industry. Originally hailing from Poland, Sebastian has resided in Switzerland since May 2004. It was while taking a project management course in 2005 that Sebastian first heard about the PMP certification, and he kept building on his project management experience until he met the qualifications to apply for the exam. Sebastian believes the PMP is a valuable certification, even for project managers with several years of experience. He believes the PMBOK alone enables improved communication (terminology) and provides a framework in which to place the existing experience. Every time he speaks to a non-PMP project manager, Sebastian is reminded of the value of the PMP. Already he has his eyes set on the PgMP.
You will see Sebastian attending Basel and Zürich events. He thinks they are great places to network, exchange experience, and earn PDUs. You can contact him at E-Mail.
Jacek Czernuszenko is also from Poland. He is not a recently certified PMP, but he is a new member to our chapter. Having arrived in Switzerland just a few weeks ago, Jacek had been an active member of the PMI Poland Chapter so he decided to join PMI-Switzerland. He values membership in PMI for the networking, seminars, and he believes it will be useful for him as he prepares for the PgMP (which he hopes to get in 2013).
Although he has experience in all the knowledge areas, Jacek has the feeling that Risk Management is probably the most under-estimated. And Stakeholder Management is worth a discussion at any time.
Jacek has over 18 years of experience in delievering information technology and consulting projects and programs. Notably, he had been co-founder of REISS Group, a start-up in Poland specializing in software development and project management for telecommunication, media, and healthcare organizations. More details about Jacek can be found at ch.linkedin.com/in/jczernuszenko. He can be reached at E-Mail.
Robert R. Molini attended an event this summer which was held on Orange premises in Zurich and this was his introduction to the PMI-CH chapter. Robert hopes, by joining, to build his network for sharing knowledge and getting entry points into the PM community for support and contacts. Robert has experience with Quality Management, Portfolio Management, Agile, and ITIL. He would like to learn more about industry trends pertaining to what project management skills are required or expected.
Robert plans to set up a PMP study group at his company and will aim to have the certification in 2013. More details about Robert can be found atch.linkedin.com/pub/robert-molini/3b/468/380.
