Why Volunteering Makes Sense
As Project Managers, we are often faced with unique situations. This tests our resolve and skills – from being technically savvy, to working within our budgets, to leading teams, and managing communications. Clearly, a project manager with exposure to various environments is predisposed to succeed. One way to acquire a multitude of skills is by giving back to the community. Volunteering has many benefits: gaining new perspectives, learning from the experience, developing our leadership skills, networking with like-minded people, and having lots of fun together. In addition, volunteering fosters an interactive and rewarding way of learning. There is also the bonus of earning PDUs for your hours of work!
The Impact of Volunteering
Volunteers are solely responsible for the content you are reading now on this website, for the monthly newsletter, and for the coordinated PMI Switzerland events. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the PMI Swiss Chapter. We dedicate our time and energy to the various chapter initiatives, the outcomes of which are highly visible and much appreciated by the project manager community in Switzerland.
How to Get Involved
We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you personally!
