The May newsletter has been managed by a new team of volunteers, with the goal to improve and expand its content and value, in line with the membership survey feedback. You may notice changes over the coming months, perhaps small challenges too, but we are confident Members will appreciate the move. The team is still looking for Volunteers, should you have a personal interest in marketing and communication.

This year PMI Global Congress - EMEA will take place in Milano on May 10-12, only a few hours away by train. This is a unique opportunity for Swiss PMI members to participate to this great learning and networking event at excellent conditions.

The PMI switzerland Chapter organized an informal 'get together' to meet with Swiss participants and ease networking on the Monday evening at 8pm, just after the grand opening event.

Dont' miss the April 7th networking dinner and the April 8th "Prix de l'innovation en management de projet", a CHF 5'000.- prize will reward the winning project team.

The spm "Frühjahrstagung" is held in German and wants to answer what role project management plays in the implementation of innovation, which organizational frameworks are needed, and how the traditional approach to project management possibly has to be modified.

The tenth AMM 2010 is a great opportunity to learn, network and show your personal appreciation to the numerous volunteers who contributed to deliver more value to our members. If you need to pick-up just one Chapter event, this is the one you should not miss!

Principles: the CHF 5'000.- first prize will reward a project manager and his or her project team. The award is open to individuals or to SMB and start-up companies who designed and carried-out projects in line with the key recommendations of PMI, IPMA or other best practices guides and standards.

The PMI Frankfurt PM Symposium 2008 is taking place in Frankfurt Germany with a very rich program, featuring Tom DeMarco and Prof. Dr. Hans A. Wüthrich (event with both German and English tracks).

The rich agenda features 15 training sessions on various PM topics (12 in German, 3 in English), 2 Keynotes from international experts, 12 focused presentations on products and services and an exhibition area with 20 selected companies and two bookstores.

The Chapter has recently successfully implemented a Bookstore that offers unbeatable discounts for PMI Standards and other related books: these books can be acquired at our events. In order to promote this new service to our members, we have also decided to issue a Bookstore Voucher.

Those that are already members of our Chapter will receive their vouchers upon renewal of their component membership during 2008 (as of 1st of January). New members of our Chapter will receive their vouchers upon registration to our component.
